Basketball Recap: Brownell Talbot Piles Up the Points Against Omaha Christian Academy

Brownell Talbot posted their biggest win since December 20, 2024 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Omaha Christian Academy Eagles 54-24. With the Raiders ahead 35-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Leading Brownell Talbot to victory were Avery Nichols and Riley Mann. Nichols dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards, while Mann dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Nichols' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Clarisa Marcano was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Brownell Talbot was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Omaha Christian Academy only posted seven assists.

Omaha Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Megan Johnston, who posted two points and 13 boards. Bekah Kruhmin also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Brownell Talbot, bringing their record for this year to 8-7. As for Omaha Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brownell Talbot will welcome Fort Calhoun at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
