There's no place like home for the Jefferson County North Chargers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past Pleasant Ridge 56-26 at home on Tuesday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-11.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Heim, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Beying, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Jefferson County North's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Pleasant Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.
Jefferson County North will head out on the road to square off against the Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kansas (Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy is ranked 184th, while the Chargers are ranked 173rd). As for Pleasant Ridge, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Hopefully Oskaloosa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
