Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for China Spring

China Spring had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They never let the Gatesville Hornets get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 12-5 win last Friday.

Nicole Prestidge and Caitlin Klement did most of the damage at the plate: Prestidge went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Klement went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Klement a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Garcia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

China Spring always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher in four consecutive matches.

China Spring's victory bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Gatesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-12-1.

As of now, neither China Spring nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
