Plantation is 0-4 against Everglades since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Plantation Colonels will head out on the road to face off against the Everglades Gators at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Plantation and four for Everglades.
Plantation suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 67-14 loss at the hands of McArthur. While losing is never fun, Plantation can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while McArthur is ranked 154th).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-7, which was the final score in Everglades' tilt against Cardinal Gibbons on Friday.
Plantation's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.0 points per game. As for Everglades, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Plantation took a serious blow against Everglades in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, falling 55-4. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Plantation was down 34-4.
