Howland has gone a perfect 8-0 against Harding recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Tigers will welcome the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Howland put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. They put the hurt on Columbiana with a sharp 18-10 victory. Considering the Tigers have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Brooke Tatar was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run and three RBI.

Those four runs gave Moy a new career-high. Madison Schmitz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Howland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Columbiana only posted a batting average of .355.
Meanwhile, Harding had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 15-10.
Karly Trisler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and seven unearned) runs on 12 hits.
At the plate, Azarriah Phillips was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyra Myrick, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Howland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Harding, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
Harding's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Howland has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Harding, though, as they've been averaging only 3.6 strikeouts. Will Howland keep running through batters, or will the Raiders buck the trend?
Everything went Howland's way against Harding in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Howland made off with a 16-1 win. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
