The Central Valley Christian Cavaliers waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They snuck past Immanuel with a 84-78 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Central Valley Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Stroud out in front who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Stroud hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Johnson, who scored 25 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Central Valley Christian pushed their record up to 13-10 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.4 points per game. As for Immanuel, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
Central Valley Christian will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Immanuel, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Reedley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
