1A Snake River (8 Man) recap Oct. 3, 2012
Challis's Ruger Jarvis rumbled for the longest rushing play in 1A Snake River (8 Man) this season in his game against Hansen last week. Jarvis scampered for 76 yards on the play and finished with 187 on the day as his team bested the Huskies.
Hagerman extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Grace, 66-20. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Challis' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Hamilton threw for 120 and two touchdowns and Craig Olson had 64 yards receiving. Jarvis helped Challis' passing attack out by catching three balls for 48 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Olson and Jarvis Josh Franks's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Olson leads the league in passing with 972 yards, while Jarvis has rushed for 414 yards this season. Hagerman's Dillan Henslee leads the league in receiving yards with 327 on 11 catches.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Raft River and Butte County. The Trojans enters the game ranked eighth in the state, while the Pirates ranks seventh.
Mark Kress's team took down the Grizzlies 66-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.
