Basketball Recap: Wenonah Piles Up the Points Against Sipsey Valley

Wenonah waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They really took it to the Sipsey Valley Bears for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-34 victory. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Samarian Franklin was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 assists. The matchup was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aariyanah Parker, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

Wenonah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Wenonah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Sipsey Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4.

Wenonah will head out on the road to square off against Jackson-Olin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wenonah is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season. Sipsey Valley will take on Greene County in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
