Enloe has been on the road for five straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Enloe came up short against Southeast Raleigh and fell 55-47.
Despite the loss, Enloe had strong showings from Zarion Hobbs, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Gift Moses, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Gianni McIntire, who scored three points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Cardinal Gibbons also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to North Raleigh Christian Academy by a score of 60-53. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Cardinal Gibbons came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while North Raleigh Christian Academy is ranked 229th).
Enloe has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Enloe came up short against Cardinal Gibbons in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 62-53. Can Enloe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
