There's no place like home for the Edgewood Mustangs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They slipped by Sullivan 39-38 on Saturday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Edgewood has scored all season.
Edgewood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carson Huttenlocker out in front who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carl Norris, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Several Golden Arrows players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cooper Bock, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Aidan McCammon, who scored 13 points.
Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Sullivan, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Shakamak at 5:30 p.m. on December 26th. Sullivan will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Robinson at 9:00 a.m. on December 26th. Robinson is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
