Methodist Children's Home suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Chisholm Trail Academy, falling 65-33. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Methodist Children's Home in their matchups with Chisholm Trail Academy: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Providence Prep had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 64-52 win over Sterling Classical.
Providence Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Clark Morrison led the charge by scoring 25 points along with six steals and five assists. Morrison hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Asa Jackson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists.
Methodist Children's Home's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Providence Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
