Eastbrook is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Taylor with a sharp 18-1 win on Thursday. Considering the Panthers have won eight games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Olivia Legg and Delanie Elliott made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Legg tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Elliott pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Legg has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single walk in 14 consecutive appearances. At bat, Legg went 1-for-5 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Elliott went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs Elliott has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Mya Peterson was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Gracie Elliott, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Eastbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 11-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Maconaquah suffered their closest loss since May 12, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of North Miami by a score of 5-3.
Maconaquah saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haylee Scarlett, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Eastbrook's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Maconaquah, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
Maconaquah's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eastbrook hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. It's a different story for Maconaquah, though, as they've only averaged .252. Will they be able to contain Eastbrook's hitters?
Eastbrook got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 against Maconaquah by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
