Maryknoll fought the good fight in their overtime game against Tampa Catholic on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 70-67. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Neo Flores produced another solid effort going 9-for-18 to rack up 27 points and five assists for Tampa Catholic. The contest was Flores' fourth in a row with at least 27 points. Sohan Alla also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Maryknoll's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Tampa Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
