Soccer Game Preview: Forks vs. Tenino

Forks is 9-1 against Tenino since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Spartans are taking a road trip to face off against the Beavers at 6:00 p.m. Tenino took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Forks, who comes in off a win.

Forks will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Ilwaco on Thursday. The Spartans never let the Fishermen get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Forks in their matchups with Ilwaco: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten goals the game before, Tenino was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against Montesano, falling 4-0. Tenino haven't had much luck with Montesano recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Tenino's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Forks, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-6.

Everything went Forks' way against Tenino when the teams last played back in March, as Forks made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
