The Weiss Wolves will face off against the Lockhart Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Weiss knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Lockhart likes a good challenge.
Weiss is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Hays: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wolves blew the Hawks out of the water with a 50-8 final score. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won five matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

 Jaxon Schad
| 10/10/25 @ Hays | 2 |
| 10/03/25 vs Cedar Creek | 1 |
| 09/26/25 @ Hendrickson | 1 |
| 11/15/24 vs Angleton | 1 |
| 11/08/24 @ Anderson | 1 |
Jaxon Schad was his usual excellent self, throwing for 345 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.1% of his passes, and also rushing for 34 yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Jordan Ibn Anderson-El was Schad's top target, picking up 143 receiving yards and three TDs.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Weiss proved: they limited Hays to a paltry 1.7 yards per carry. The Wolves didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.5.
Meanwhile, Lockhart was beaten by Hays 53-22 last Friday.
Weiss will have to contain Kaidyn Brite as he made an impact in Lockhart's last game. He rushed for 186 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Brite's longest rush was for an incredible 91 yards.
Weiss' win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lockhart, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Weiss has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 326.4 passing yards per game. Lockhart, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 157.2 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Thursday? There's only one way to find out.
Everything came up roses for Weiss against Lockhart in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-0 victory. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
