The South Webster Jeeps lost to the South Gallia Rebels back in December of 2022, but the South Webster Jeeps didn't allow the South Gallia Rebels the same satisfaction on Thursday. South Webster came out on top against South Gallia by a score of 53-46.
South Webster had a senior duo take command as Skylar Zimmerman scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five assists and Isabella Claxon dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Zimmerman has scored at least 25% of South Webster's points. Cailee Blevins was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tori Triplett, who scored ten points along with seven assists and six rebounds. The game was Triplett's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Lyons, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
South Webster's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for South Gallia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1.
South Webster will head out on the road to face off against Paint Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Paint Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Saturday. South Gallia will be home for the holidays to greet Portsmouth West at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
