The Arabia Mountain Rams scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Clarke Central as Arabia Mountain made off with a 80-59 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Arabia Mountain has managed all season.
Leading Arabia Mountain to victory were Julian Shanks and Joseph Smith. Shanks scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Smith scored 21 points along with two steals. Shanks is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. Jaden Ward was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Arabia Mountain pushed their record up to 11-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Clarke Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arabia Mountain will take on Chamblee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Chamblee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday. As for Clarke Central, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Winder-Barrow at 8:30 p.m. on January 19th. Winder-Barrow presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Clarke Central in Georgia (Winder-Barrow is ranked 40th, while Clarke Central is ranked 246th).
