Anthony Flores was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals for Phoenix Day School for the Deaf. Flores has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kotu Salih, who scored eight points.
Oregon School for the Deaf's loss was their eighth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.8 points per game. As for Phoenix Day School for the Deaf, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oregon School for the Deaf will take on Willamette Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Idaho School for the Deaf & Blind at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th.
