The Ewing Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the Voorhees Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ewing will bounce into Friday's game after beating Notre Dame, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Blue Devils walked away with a 6-3 win over the Irish on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Abby Singer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ewing saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Hansbury, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Morgan Dwyer also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Voorhees waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Argonauts 11-4. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Ali Leibensperger and Christina Sullivan did most of the damage at the plate: Leibensperger went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Sullivan went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Sullivan a new career-high. Ella Lagomarsino was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Voorhees kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Voorhees pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.4 runs over those games. As for Ewing, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ewing hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .358. However, it's not like Voorhees struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ewing beat Voorhees 8-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
