League recap: Cocoa extends winning streak with victory over Jones

Cocoa extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 5 this week by beating Jones, 31-24. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

Cocoa Beach moved up to 166 from 198 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Minutemen climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Lake Highland Prep 56-34.

Cocoa's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jaelon Knowles has thrown for 194 yards this season, while Rakeem Murray has three catches for 96 yards. Tarean Folston leads the league in rushing with 811 yards.

Cocoa Beach led 4A District 5 in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on the Highlanders.
