Baseball Recap: Crismon Continues Road Dominance on Monday

While Crismon put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Combs. Crismon put the hurt on Combs with a sharp 25-0 win. The Rattlers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Kenny Wilsford made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Crismon got a massive performance out of David Poldoian, who went 2-for-3 with seven RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those seven RBI gave Poldoian a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Herzberg, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

Crismon hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive games.

Crismon's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.3 runs over those games. As for Combs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7-1.

Crismon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Combs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
