Apex Friendship waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Cary Imps with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Apex Friendship let Ajay Rychcik and Hayden Fones run wild. Rychcik went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Fones went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Fones' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Connor Sousa, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Apex Friendship always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cary only posted an OBP of .273.

Apex Friendship's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cary, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
