The Blair Vikings will look to defend their home court on Friday against the North Saxons at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Blair walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 92-73 win over the Contenders on Wednesday. The win was just what Blair needed coming off of a 93-49 defeat in their prior contest.
Blair's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Serigne Deme, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Deme has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Timmy Anderson, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.
Meanwhile, North earned a 48-35 victory over San Marcos on Wednesday. Given North's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while San Marcos is ranked 428th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Blair's win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for North, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.
Blair came up short against North when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 84-78. Will Blair have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
