GRACE Christian will square off against Rocky Mount Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. GRACE Christian knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past 14 games -- so hopefully Rocky Mount Academy likes a good challenge.
GRACE Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past John Paul II Catholic 12-3. Considering the Eagles have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Addison Vercellino spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Audrey Lester was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Ellie McDowell was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
GRACE Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Rocky Mount Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Chargers.
Berkeley Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Miller was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katie Bulluck, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Martha Calhoun, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
GRACE Christian pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Rocky Mount Academy, their record now sits at 11-7.
