After a string of four wins, the Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. The contest between them and Purcell Marian wasn't particularly close, with Cincinnati Country Day falling 61-45. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cincinnati Country Day in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Nighthawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Megan Zimmerman, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Zimmerman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Samantha Easter, who scored 15 points along with five assists.
Cincinnati Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Purcell Marian, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.
