While losing is never fun, Lennard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 458th, while Wharton is ranked 88th).
Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyah Vance, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Davis, who scored six points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wharton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nina Green, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Emma Maggio, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Lennard's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.0 points per game. As for Wharton, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
