There's no place like home for The Grundy Golden Wave, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against Tolsia on Friday as Grundy made off with a 32-12 win. The win was all the more spectacular given Grundy's disadvantage in MaxPreps's football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 287th in Virginia, while Tolsia is ranked 77th in West Virginia).
Grundy's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 4-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.3 points per game. As for Tolsia, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grundy will take on Central Wise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Wise comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Tolsia, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against River View at 7:00 p.m.
