The Alonso Ravens were the 62-10 winner over the Brandon Eagles when they last played one another back in November of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Alonso fell to Brandon 29-24. Alonso has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Alonso saw an underclassman step up: Aliya Hannah scored 12 points. Hannah scored a full 50% of Alonso's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Leading Brandon to victory were Julia Castany and Sofia Caserta. Castany scored 10 points, while Caserta scored 15 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Caserta has scored at least 25% of Brandon's points.
Alonso's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Brandon, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Alonso and Robinson will face off at 8:00 p.m. on December 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Brandon, they will head out on the road to face off against Durant at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Durant is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
