The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Midland in their matchups with Putnam County: they've now lost seven in a row.
Marquette's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Midland, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
