Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Purdue Polytechnic walked away with it. They blew past the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils 65-40 on Friday. The Techies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.

Purdue Polytechnic found their leader in sophomore Te'Asia Briscoe, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Briscoe has scored all season. Ja'Nyiah Rogers was another key player, going 6 for 10 to rack up 14 points and six steals.

Purdue Polytechnic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Purdue Polytechnic pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Purdue Polytechnic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-34 loss against Cathedral on the 8th. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-40 defeat against Purdue Poly Englewood on the 7th.
