The Edison Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Port Clinton by a score of 60-57. Edison has not had much luck with Port Clinton recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Edison's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Blatnik, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Davin Wendt, who scored 12 points.
Edison bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Port Clinton, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edison will take on Clear Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Port Clinton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Norwalk at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
