Statesville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 35-7 win over the West Stokes Wildcats. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Greyhounds' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Wildcats are ranked 252nd).
Statesville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaikoda Harrington, who rushed for 87 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries, and also threw for 54 yards and one TD.
