Baseball Recap: New Creation Christian Academy Beats Peoples Baptist Academy for Their Fifth Straight Win

New Creation Christian Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Peoples Baptist Academy Knights with a sharp 12-1 victory. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Austin Jones looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, New Creation Christian Academy let Luke Robinson and Drake Garmany run wild. Robinson scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances, while Garmany scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Robinson a new career-high in RBI (two). Bryson Murlin was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

New Creation Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.2 runs. As for Peoples Baptist Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Creation Christian Academy will host Rock Springs Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rock Springs Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.45 runs per game on average), something New Creation Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Peoples Baptist Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kings Way Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Peoples Baptist Academy has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
