There's no place like home for the Santa Clara Saints, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 55-42 win over Foothill Tech on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Santa Clara also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
JD Pettit was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Santa Clara's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andy Pimentel, who scored six points along with two blocks.
Santa Clara's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-13. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Foothill Tech, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Santa Clara will be playing at home against Dunn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dunn presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Santa Clara in California (Dunn is ranked 363rd, while Santa Clara is ranked 769th). As for Foothill Tech, they will head out on the road to take on Thacher at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Thacher is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
