After two games on the road, United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] is heading back home. They will take on The Portage Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] got themselves on the board against Purchase Line, but Purchase Line never followed suit. They blew past the Red Dragons 46-0 on the road. United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] pushed the score to 40-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Purchase Line had no chance of recovering from.
Isaac Worthington had a dynamite game for United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United], rushing for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while also throwing for 136 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes. Worthington's longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Brown, who picked up 102 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Portage can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 34-0 win over Homer-Center.
Issac Willinsky continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 193 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Another player making a difference was Connor Binaut, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United]'s victory was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.5 points per game. As for Portage, their win on Friday bumped their record up to 3-4.
