Lee Park Prep hasn't had much luck against NorthPoint Christian Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Knights will look to defend their home field against the NightHawks at 4:30 p.m. Lee Park Prep has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Lee Park Prep managed to slip by Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Knights came up short against the Patriots on Monday, falling 13-4. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lee Park Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Arant, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The Knights are 3-1 when Arant posts two or more runs, but 1-9 otherwise.
Meanwhile, NorthPoint Christian Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Indians. Considering the NightHawks have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Tyler Wagner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, Micah Enriquez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Andrew Badolato, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
NorthPoint Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
NorthPoint Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Lee Park Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lee Park Prep has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like NorthPoint Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Lee Park Prep couldn't quite finish off NorthPoint Christian Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago and fell 3-1. Will the Knights have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
