On Saturday, Chandler ended up a good deal behind Wewoka and lost 52-33. While losing is never fun, Chandler can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Wewoka is ranked 23rd).
Timber Carter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wewoka, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Carter's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Awtumn Sipes-Louie, who scored 11 points along with five assists and four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Chandler and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Wewoka, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Chandler will head out on the road to face off against Seminole at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Wewoka and Holdenville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Holdenville's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
