Anthem Prep's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Maryvale Prep Matador as they made off with a 17-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Tate Daniels, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Anthem Prep: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Brayden Fessler also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Anthem Prep hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Anthem Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Maryvale Prep, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Anthem Prep will venture away from home to challenge St. David at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Maryvale Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
