Basketball Recap: Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Westminster Christian Academy last Thursday, Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy came back down to earth. The Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy Eagles were outmatched by the Teurlings Catholic Rebels and fell 72-41. The Eagles were probably out for revenge after losing 71-35 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Teurlings Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Port Barre at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Teurlings Catholic, they will venture away from home to challenge LaGrange at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
