The Heritage Christian Patriots suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 76-51 loss at the hands of Luther Prep. Heritage Christian has not had much luck with Luther Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Heritage Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Morgan Bluhm, who scored 13 points along with six assists and four steals. Bluhm also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Amanda Pike, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Heritage Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-8. As for Luther Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Salam at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Salam's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Heritage Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Luther Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Country Lutheran at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Country Lutheran is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
