The Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs's 9-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They had to suffer through a rough 67-39 loss at the hands of Calistoga. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Summerfield Waldorf has scored all season.
Diego Perez was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds for Calistoga. The contest was Perez's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carlos Infante, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Summerfield Waldorf bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Calistoga, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Summerfield Waldorf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pacific Union College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Calistoga, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Anderson Valley at 5:30 p.m. on December 18th. Anderson Valley is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
