There's no place like home for Melbourne, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Valley Springs Tigers on Wednesday as they made off with a 17-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Bearkatz, who have now won 11 games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Melbourne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Valley Springs, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

Coming up, Melbourne will head out to face off against Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley Springs, they will host Springdale at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
