It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Homestead had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-39 win over the Carroll Chargers. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Carroll's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Paxton Crane, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 16 boards, and Jack Van Order, who posted ten points. Crane is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Fisher, who put up seven points.
Homestead's victory bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.
As of now, neither Homestead nor Carroll have any future games scheduled.
