The Immanuel Christian Warriors came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Varsity Opponent 64-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Immanuel Christian also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Immanuel Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carlos Acu?a, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hector Perez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten assists.
Immanuel Christian pushed their record up to 25-6 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Varsity Opponent, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 339-1214-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Immanuel Christian will take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Elite Prep Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Wednesday.
