Mardela won the last time they faced St. Michaels, and Jo'Ziah Sherwood did his part to make sure it happened again. The Mardela Warriors secured a 50-45 W over the St. Michaels Saints on Thursday thanks in part to Sherwood, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 22 rebounds. He also posted seven blocks, which is notable because Mardela is 12-2 when he posts at least three blocks, but 2-5 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Darion Collins, who posted 14 points along with six boards and five assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Mardela and bumps their season record up to 14-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for St. Michaels, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Coming up, Mardela will be playing at home against Bennett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Michaels, they are taking a road trip to take on Queen Anne's County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
