The Malcolm Clippers entered their tilt with the Freeman Falcons with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Malcolm secured a 36-31 W over Freeman on Tuesday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Malcolm has scored all season.
Malcolm found their leader in underclassman Halle Dolliver, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Dolliver has scored at least a third of Malcolm's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Zegar, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Malcolm's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. As for Freeman, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Malcolm will take on York at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. York will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Malcolm is ranked 34th). As for Freeman, they will be playing at home against Elmwood-Murdock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
