Last Friday, School of the Woods came up short against the Eagles and fell 55-44. School of the Woods has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Texas Christian put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by The Connection School of Houston at home to the tune of 77-38. Winning may never get old, but Texas Christian sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Texas Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Williams led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jean Hirwa, who scored 20 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
School of the Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Texas Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.
