The Mt. Shasta Bears fell victim to the Biggs Wolverines''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 51-0 loss at the hands of the Wolverines. Mt. Shasta just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
It was another big night for Davis Long, who rushed for 286 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Long was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Smith, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Mt. Shasta's loss was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.2 points per game. As for Biggs, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Mt. Shasta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Biggs also has no future games currently scheduled.
