SAN DIEGO, Calif. -
Madison (San Diego, Calif.) took an early lead against Kearny (San Diego, Calif.) and held on for a 48-6 victory on Saturday.
The Warhawks put up 14 points in the opening quarter. Madison scored on a touchdown run by
Kevin Moore and an
Isaiah Osborne touchdown run.
After taking the lead on a Moore touchdown run in the first quarter, MHS was up 27-0 at the half.
The Warhawks grew their lead to 48 points entering the fourth quarter. Madison scored three times in the third, including once on a defensive touchdown.
Kearny's only touchdown came on a 6-yard run in the fourth quarter.
MHS had given up an average of 12.1 points prior to the contest. The six points that the Komets ended with were below their average of 12.3 coming into the game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 49-7 win for the Warhawks.
With the win Madison extended its winning streak to four games.
