The Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics Storm posted their biggest victory since November 10, 2023 on Friday. They really took it to Brighton for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-32 victory on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-15.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Lawrence, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lawrence has scored all season. Mason Quartemont was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Brighton saw an underclassman step up: Damon Scott dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Scott is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.
Even though they lost, Brighton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics only pulled down 14 offensive rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics and bumps their season record up to 5-8. As for Brighton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics will head out on the road to challenge Bishop Noland Episcopal Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Noland Episcopal Day will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Brighton will take on Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
